Today isn’t necessarily just about Dads (no matter how amazing they are). Some people have unconventional family structures, are separated from their father or haven’t grown up knowing one or both of their parents. However, if we are lucky, there are other people who are guiding figures in our lives - the people who keep us on track and who are there for us regardless of our regrettable attempts at jokes, dressing gown penchants and mistakes.
Father’s Day is only ever what it means to you, but I hope you’re having a happy one.
