J.K. Rowling, author of the much-loved Harry Potter series, will build a Hogwarts-inspired mega tree house for her children.
The City of Edinburgh council gave Rowling permission to build the two-storey structure for her children David, 9, and Kenzie, 7, in the grounds of her 17th-century mansion in a suburb of Edinburgh.
The cost? A snitch snatch at £250,000 ($383,000).
The tree houses will have secret tunnels, a pulley system for sending supplies up and down and a rope bridge between the towers. Oh, and an owl perch, of course.
So for you die-hard Potter fans suffering wizard withdrawals, get yourself to Edinburgh, get friendly with the Rowling tots and you could find yourself invited back for a play at the Hogwarts homestead.
