Emily Osmond Good Media 3

Hello there! I’m Emily Osmond founder and editor of getinmyhome.

There’s just something about interiors that I can’t get enough of. I love discovering Australian designers and makers along with international design trends. Plus well-designed spaces make us feel HAPPY!

My interest in the interiors world started very naturally. I was always drawing floor plans of my bedroom when I was young, dragging around the furniture to rearrange it and using mum’s sewing machine to create cushion covers and accessories for my room.  That then turned into my creating a folder of my favourite interior photos, torn out of mum’s magazines!

I started my blog, getinmyhome, in mid 2012 as a way of sharing inspiration and tips for gorgeous spaces and products. In 2016, I took my interest in interiors further by studying ‘Interiors – Design & Decoration for Living‘ at RMIT. Over the years, getinmyhome has been awarded with international blogging awards and listed in numerous ‘best of’ lists of blogs – which is just so flattering and exciting.

This review of getinmyhome by domino magazine is one of my favourite:

This site is a cool girl’s modern dream—and exactly the right dose of Aussie inspo everyone needs in their life. Expect to find beautiful interiors that will work for any space and lots of products from Australia-based small businesses.

And is this one from Global Design Post:

With a designer’s eye and a marketer’s foresight, Emily Osmond find the best- and we mean the best!- products and interiors in Australia.

Energetic and bright, her site is a feast of the coolest, hippest, most drool-worthy products that she has discovered, along with interviews with the creators, sources (so you can get your own hot little hands on them) and boundless photos of interiors you will want to slip right into.

GETINHOME will have you saying, “I want that” about a hundred times- promise!  Personally, we want them all. She has the keenest eye.

So if you would like to see gorgeous Australian style served up in a most delightful way, click over and spend a while on this award-winning blog.

Aside from getinmyhome, I also run a marketing business called Good Media.

I have send you an email about a product I think you may be interested in. It is an innovative dual-purpose water tank that also serves as an attractive lounge. It is designed for people with limited outdoor space. Our website is http://www.rosemarkwatertanks.com.au if you would like to find out more.

    Hey Emily

    This blog is unreal.

I loved the quick and dirty guide to branding.

Funnily enough I actually used this guide to help when creating the Brisbane house cleaning service http://www.maid2match.com.au.

I would love to hear what you think of the website?

    Hi Emily,

My name is Jason and I recently co-founded an online platform called HomeHello. I have been an avid follower of your blog for some time, and I just wanted to say thank you for providing such wonderful insights into the world of interior decorating for readers like me. I especially liked your post on ‘5 simple ways to create a rustic chic design for your home’, which I felt was a nice and interesting mood to give your home.

A little bit about ourselves – HomeHello is an online booking system that only takes 60 seconds to book background-checked, insured cleaner at an affordable flat rate of $25/hr.

I truly built HomeHello with people like your readers in mind and I was wondering if there could be potential for us to work together. I would also like to gain valuable insights from your readers. I’d like to offer a special discount for your readers, or give you a free clean to review, or even provide some guest blogging – whatever works for you!

Otherwise, if you have any questions feel free to ask. Or if you have any time, check us out at homehello.com.au or our blog at homehello.com.au/blog,
