Life Instyle, the only boutique lifestyle design trade event in Australia, is returning to Melbourne this year from 4th – 7th August at The Royal Exhibition Building! With over 350 carefully selected exhibitors, this year’s Life Instyle will showcase a variety of both recognisable retail companies, and newly unearthed designer brands.
I love that the event combines all the things we love to discover and admire: homewares, gift, lifestyle, fashion and jewellery. Excitingly, also included in the event is Kids Instyle – the only boutique trade event in Australia offering premium kids, baby and children’s fashion, accessories and home wares, and First Instyle, which offers the opportunity for brand new design professionals to emerge onto the scene.
To give you a snapshot into what you can experience at this year’s event, here are six brands to beat the crowds to see during your Life Instyle experience:
THE BEACH PEOPLE
This year The Beach People, makers of the original Roundie® beach towel, and luxe seaside, are bringing their summer inspired products to Life Instyle. Launched in 2013 by sisters Emma Henderson and Victoria Beattie, the Australian duo have since made waves both nationally and globally, with international stockists now including Bloomingdales, Revolve, Net A Porter and Selfridges.
PANA CHOCOLATE
Making its Melbourne Life Instyle debut is Pana Chocolate, a rich and luxurious chocolate bar brand. With every product being handmade in Victoria, Founder Pana Barbounis says they are “excited to exhibit in our own playground at the Melbourne Life Instyle show for the first time.” The chocolates are all created using a unique process using minimal heat to ensure all the goodness is retained, ensuring the finished product is not only loved by your tongue, but your insides and the environment. Made from all natural and organic ingredients (think organic nuts, goji berries, coconut flakes and 100% essential oils – they contain no dairy, soy, gluten or refined sugar) it’s no surprise these bars are now being stocked in retailers throughout Australia, and in over 25 countries across the UK, Europe, South East Asia, UAE and US.
SPROUT AND SPARROW
Beloved Kids Instyle brand, Sprout and Sparrow, are returning to Life Instyle this year with their trendy and creative wall art, as well as their growing range of colourful greeting cards and gift tags. Their unique party invitation range, which has just been released, will also be showcased. With all prints inspired by their own children, the Melbourne sister team Tash Jerrard-Bishop and Adi say “We’re always open to hearing about interesting ways to collaborate and partner with other local mums in small business to help kids all over Australia have colour, quality, and life in their bedrooms, playrooms and nurseries.”
DUKE OF LONDON
This local brand has been worn by the children of celebrities including the Kardashian clan, the Stefani/Rossdale boys and most recently by Chris and Elsa Hemsworth’s children. With over 50 stockists throughout Australia, New Zealand, America, Canada and Poland, this Duke Of London fashion label has been dressing children world-wide for the past four years. Beginning as the dream of a young Aussie who simply loved dressing her boys, this edgy brand has now developed and filled a gap in the fashion market for children aged 6 months to 6 years.
HUNTER LAB
