I was very excited to interview the team from Place Settings. A quick look at their website and I knew straight away that the business was right up my alley! The images alone made me want to plan an event just to hire their treasures!
Place Settings has been bringing gorgeous event styling solutions to Melbourne for more than 15 years! I would love to take a look around their storage space, because let’s be frank, if we’re not already married most of us girls are secretly (or not so secretly) planning our wedding festivities, partners in tow or not! This event styling company does more than just weddings though. Product launches, large-scale corporate functions and racing marquees are all in a day’s work for these guys!

The business started in 1996 as a small enterprise with the aim to provide quality product and
service to the Melbourne catering industry. Then, the main focus of the business was providing
cutlery and crockery for parties and events – which is where the name ‘Place Settings’ stems
from. Over the years the business has grown to offer much more than crockery, cutlery and
glassware.
Who is behind it?
Place Settings is owned and operated by Tim Buzzard who has started and led the company
from inception to the present day. Tim worked in the event hire industry before deciding that
Melbourne needed a new brand with a different approach.
