I recently found a hub with more than 300 pieces of gorgeous Scandinavian style furniture pieces. It is ‘Icon by Design‘ and it is a company started by David Light and his son Adam.
The duo have listened to customers’ feedback to curate their online store full of pieces made using sustainable materials and premium craftsmanship while being very wary of offering attainable price points.
David says that sourcing directly from the maker is central to the Icon by Design ethos. What I love is that if you pre-order your piece, you’ll save a huge 20% on the already very fair price.

David and Adam work with their hand-picked suppliers to source oak and walnut from sustainably harvested, FSC-certified forests in America, choosing the wood for its longevity and quality.
“All of our products are made to commercial standards, with solid timber components. The sort of quality you can feel. The sort of feel veneered wood or MDF can’t replicate. The sort of feel that ensures a piece becomes part of your home and your life,” says David.
